About our team

Modern You, Modern Investing

Our Principles

  • The client is at the center of everything we do.

We are FIDUCIARIES, required to put our clients’ interests ahead of our own. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • Our clients should have the service experience of a high-touch, CUSTOMER-CENTRIC BOUTIQUE. We believe advice should be UNIQUE to the client – no cookie-cutter solutions in the name of ‘scale.’

  • We combine decades of PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE with rigorous ACADEMIC TRAINING and a world class TECHNOLOGY platform to ensure we can credibly advise our ideal clients.

We believe that foundation is critical for serious advisors to be able to do exceptional work for clients. And with that in place, we are dedicated to learning, growing, and broadening the skills in order to better serve our clients.

  • We believe COLLABORATION and teamwork lead to better outcomes.

Our firm consists of like-minded individuals with complementary skills and experiences all working together to deliver outstanding results for clients. We believe this model is inherently better-suited to serve clients over the long-term than alternatives.

  • We believe thoughtful planning enables more successful long-term investing.

By taking the time to initially understand what clients want most, we can design investment strategies that treat money as a tool rather than a scoreboard.

Welcome to wealth management done differently.

  • I live in Kansas City (The Northland) along with my wife, Jennifer, and our two children, Julianne Faith and Miles Parker. Our household is complete with several beloved animals: Cash, the Boxer; Otis, the Boston; Godzilla, the Bearded Dragon; and something tells me we’ll have a hamster before too long.

My leisure time is often dedicated to club sports, family moments, golfing, fitness activities, and enjoyable poolside gatherings with friends and relatives.

In our commitment to community, we actively support several local businesses and charities, recognizing the importance of giving back.

Jennifer, known as Jenny, serves as a local Radio Personality and Influencer. Tune in to catch her daily broadcasts from 6-10 am on Q104.

  • In my perspective, Modern Investing diverges significantly from traditional approaches. Instead of focusing on product-centric discussions, it prioritizes individuals' goals, exceptional service, and the overall experience with Divvi.

  • Divvi reflects my choice for a forward-thinking partner in shaping my financial future. At the heart of Divvi is a client-centric experience, driven by a dynamic team approach that breaks away from conventional norms. Throughout my 22-year journey in the financial services industry—wearing hats as an advisor, asset manager, broker-dealer, and investor—each step has played a pivotal role in forging the modern, innovative path of Divvi: Where Modern You meets Modern Investing.

  • So, in the world of golf, I'm the perpetual chaser of the elusive hole-in-one. It's a bit of a family joke—my quest for that perfect shot versus my dad (1) and my brother's impressive 12 hole-in-ones.

I'm the one always there to witness those legendary shots, cheering on the pros while waiting for my own magic moment. Despite the teasing, the shared laughter, and the friendly banter on the course make every round a casual and fun family affair. Who knows, maybe my lucky swing is just around the corner and if so, see you at the bar! ⛳🏌️‍♂️

  • I live in Lee’s Summit, with my wife Angie, a Blue Springs native, and our two teenage children, Carson and Harper. Our other two, more obedient roommates are our dogs Molly (Wheaten Terrier) and Marlow (Mini Bernadoodle). Angie and I enjoy supporting the kids at their many activities, doing almost anything outside (especially boating and fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks on the occasional free weekend) and the all too infrequent date night at a local restaurant.

We are members at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Lee’s Summit and are proud supporters and volunteers for the Lee’s Summit North Robotics and Marching Band teams.

Angie is a speech pathologist with the Lee’s Summit School District.

  • Modern investing means applying a forward-thinking, thoughtful approach to your finances. The role of a financial advisor has and will continue to evolve. We owe it to our clients to continue to grow how we can serve and add value to them.

  • My life experience has often reinforced the power of the team above that of the individual. We founded Divvi on the principle that client outcomes benefit from a team approach. It’s just another way we are different, and we couldn’t be happier with how it works for our clients.

  • I am a big believer in the positive impact of locally owned businesses and their power to create a sense of community. Several members of my family are business owners, and at Divvi, we are grateful to call many local business owners our clients.

Lee’s Summit (where I live) and North Kansas City (where I work) are both great examples of how locally owned business can help foster community and economic growth.

  • I live in Overland Park with my wife Amy and our three young children Oliver, Henry, and Charlie. When we aren't occupied by school, work, or kids' activities, we love to travel, usually to someplace warm. During summer, we are usually spending time with family and friends by the pool or at the lake.

Outside of work, I love to cook, especially outdoors on the grill or smoker, and play pickup basketball with friends.

When not taking care of the family, Amy teaches pre-kindergarten children at Colonial Presbyterian Church in Overland Park and is an avid runner.

  • To me, Modern Investing is process over products, working hard to align our interests with our client’s interests, and using all our modern resources and technology to efficiently deliver an outstanding client experience.

  • Our team is unique. We combine years of practical corporate experience, having observed first-hand the pros and cons of different advisory business models. That experience helped shape our firm's foundational principles. Our different skill sets and areas of expertise are complementary, not competitive. We chose to invest in cutting-edge technology from the very beginning. And our only goal is to use all these resources to do our best work on behalf of our clients.

  • I am a big believer in professional development and ongoing learning, particularly when the knowledge can build upon other disciplines.

I chose to pursue designations and training in areas that could be practical and useful for clients, and complement one another. These areas include investments and analysis (CFA), financial planning (CFP®), tax (EA), and portfolio design and implementation (CIMA®).

Prior to joining Divvi, Anthony spent more than 20 years working as a financial advisor at two large brokerage firms, Ameriprise Financial and Edward Jones.

Anthony is CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Practitioner (CFP®). He earned a degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from Truman State University.

  • Anthony lives in Gladstone, MO, with his wife Lisa, their three children Charlotte, Grant, and Meredith. His wife Lisa is an avid quilter and designs parks and playgrounds as a landscape architect. Anthony proudly cheers his kids on at activities including soccer, basketball, and football. Outside of work, he may be happiest cooking in a kitchen for a bunch of hungry mouths. Anthony also enjoys fishing, woodworking, and renovating old homes.

  • To me, it starts with technology, but that technology has to be useful and create efficiency. A modern approach should enhance the client experience. Additionally, the way we interact with clients is important. We want to be available in a format that is convenient to clients and meets their needs.

  • Our team has a great deal of industry experience. The different perspectives can be helpful as we search for advantages that can impact client outcomes in a positive way. No single person has all the correct answers. We collaborate on cases, working together from the initial conversation through the plan design and implementation.

  • I enjoy the process. We sit down and define the clients' goals, then work to find the solutions that can help achieve those goals. The investment strategies have always been particularly interesting to me. It's like putting together a big jigsaw puzzle. I have always found it rewarding to help clients accomplish those financial goals that matter most to them.
